Shelagh has almost 20yrs experience in a health and safety advisory capacity, predominantly in the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector. Qualified to BSc level and holds the NEBOSH General Certificate and is looking to progress to Level 6 Diploma Level. She holds TechIOSH membership . Shelagh has been a Steering Group member of the voluntary North Manchester Health & Safety Advisory Group since 2014.
With a prior background in quality control laboratories and quality management, the opportunity to move into health & safety was presented by Shelagh’s Managing Director, who recognised her ability, attributes and achievements to advance the company’s health & safety arrangements to a more compliant level. The mandate was to ‘step on peoples’ toes where necessary’. The budget for safety footwear was soon agreed! At Comply at Work, Shelagh now uses these hands-on experiences and knowledge to advise and train our valued clients on good health and safety practices.
Shelagh’s main leisure activities include being captain (elect) of local pub darts team and member of their dominoes team, supporting and volunteering in local community events, CAMRA member (real ales, beer festivals); being owned by her two cats.
